Not that cold!

I can't believe how nuts we (the local media) are going over the weather. We got a dusting of snow and, get this, it's cold! This is the midwest and it's winter. What did we (the media) expect?

I mean maybe we cracked the two inch mark in snow. And the temps? They're talking lows of 1 degree tonight. Whoop-de-frickin'-do. Where I grew up that was a nice spring day! Okay, so maybe I'm joking. A bit.

But really folks, sub-zero temps in the midwest should not be that surprising. We're in the middle of a freaking prairie here. There are no trees, no hills, nothing to slow the wind down or hold the heat in.

Of course it's going to get cold. Dress in layers. Cover your skin. You'll survive. It's winter. Happens every year.
