When she visits, my MIL(aka Oma) gives JBP a little egg. It's got a thin chocolate shell and inside it has a toy he has to put together. He adores these little egg-prizes.
Today, he got a little prize on a rope (we're not exactly sure what it's supposed to be) and he's been running around all day with it around his wrist/elbow/upper arm. He calls it his "Lucky Charm" (no relation to the cereal).
After my breakdown during my supper break this evening JBP came up and gave me his prize from today's egg to keep with me. The admonishment not to lose it accompanied the gift.
He's so sweet. I have it safely tucked away in a zippered coat pocket. He makes life worth living even at the worst of times.
