More Funnies

We're just all busting it up in the newsroom today. Here are a couple more "funny" incidents in the last few minutes.

This first one took place between me, the News Director (ND) and Jake, our youngest, most inexperienced and babyfaced reporter.

ND: Do we have any interns?
Nimitz' Lady: Not right now. I'm working on it.
ND: It's just I've got one of those fun, intern-projects.
Nimitz' Lady: Maybe in a few weeks.
ND: Well, since we don't have any interns... Jake (our youngest, most inexperienced and babyfaced reporter) I've got a project for you!

This second conversation included the ND, our Executive Producer (EP) , Jake and myself.

ND: So, are you still thinking 2 to 3 inches of snow this weekend?
EP: Yeah, looks like it.
ND: What about Middling Big City?
EP: I haven't really looked that far (on the compass).
Jake: Are you really a meteorologist?
EP: Yeeaah (long and drawled out, slightly sarcastic)
Nimitz' Lady: No! We just think a complete novice has a better chance of predicting the weather than the experts.
EP: (Digging in his pocket) The most useful tool in predicting the weather... (holds up a quarter and flips it.)

Okay, so maybe they were funnier in person. Or maybe we're all just in that mood.
Nimitz' Lady
