God usually has a good reason. Although we don't often get to find out what it is.
Last month my best friend's house burned down. At first we thought it was a casualty of the grass fires that had forced them to evacuate that day.
Turns out those grass fires saved the lives of her three kids. See the house fire actually was an electrical fire that started right under the kids rooms.
The fire investigator told her if they'd been home that night there's no way the kids would've been able to get out and no way she'd have been able to make it through the fire from her room to theirs.
In other words if God hadn't sent grass fires that burned more than 8,000 acres that afternoon and overnight three beautiful children would've breathed their last that night.
Instead they're now gleefully enjoying living in a camper on their land this summer and planning the building of their new home.
God is Good!
