A Little Nothing and Something Great

Update: I have an appointment with a new thyroid doctor next week who's on both the recommended list from my thyroid newsletter and on my insurance list. We'll see how he turns out.

Also, as far as I know the baby bunny rescued from the Chicken Cat remains under the couch in the basement. More likely, one of the cats got ahold of it last night and killed it and we just haven't found the remains yet.

Now, on to Greater Things as reported by the Associated Press:

ST. PETERS, Mo. (AP) - Lifesaving timing in Missouri. A driver suffered a heart attack and wrecked her car, just before two nurses and a defibrillator salesman passed by.

The salesman, Steve Earle, tells a St. Louis T-V station (KSDK-TV) he saw the crash and grabbed a defibrillator from his car "just in case." The two nurses, who also saw the accident, performed C-P-R on the driver.

The defibrillator restored her pulse, and Carolyn Holt's heart is still beating strong while she recovers in a hospital.

One of the nurses, Mary Blome, marvels that two R-N's, a man strong enough to lift the woman from her vehicle, and the handy defibrillator all happened to turn up at once. She says, "That just doesn't happen."

Every once in awhile God gives us proof that he's still there, watching over us. Very comforting in these troubled times.
