In an interview with one of our reporters today on a story about a local high school security guard in trouble for sexually molesting a student at the school:
"He didn't stick out more than any other security guard." Her emphasis, not mine.
If you didn't find that funny, count yourself lucky. In the news business you develop both a very dark humor and a rather crude one. It's our way of dealing with the sick things we face on an almost daily basis.
Cops and lawyers tend to find the same things funny, for pretty much the same reasons.
