Okay, okay you can finish the song without me.
But, yet another sign of just how small the world now is... in one class I have one student who's from Dubuque and a Hawkeyes fan (I told her I wouldn't hold that against her!) and two students who just moved here from Ames, IA.
They all appreciated all the ISU stuff in my classroom.

I noticed the last two times I talked with him that he peppered his conversation with words like "nitrous oxide" and "frenectomy." I was quite impressed. Remember how still and cooperative he was when he had to have an intravenous solution to "put the water back" when he got dehydrated as a result of illness? And when he was 3-4 mojths old and felt miserable because of innoculations, but smiled through his tears? He's always been a cheerful, brave little soul.

I just realized I posted the JBP comment with the wrong entry. So --= about small worlds. Just this morning, I learned that a former officemate of mine at ISU once taught ESL here at KSU -- and she shared an office with my current boss!
